Best Kept Village Competition Award Presentation
‘Winner of Winners’
The presentation awards were held at Rushall Stocks on Sunday, 24th September 2023 with Anne Henshaw, Chairman of CPRE making a welcome speech to all present. The unveiling of the shield was then carried out by Sarah Troughton, Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire. Richard Tilbury, Rushall PC received the Laurence Kitching Award Plaque from Mr Pawel Kisielewski, CEO of CCM Technologies, sponsor of the award. John Rogers, Rushall PC, then received the framed CPRE Certificate from Anne Henshaw. Carly Paoli, CPRE Wiltshire Countryside Ambassador presented a memorial tree to Colin Gale, Chairman of Rushall PC who then gave a Vote of Thanks.
Carly Paoli is a British classical singer who has performed on many occasions before King Charles and Queen Camilla.
After the award presentations everyone went to the Village Hall for light refreshments. The opportunity was taken to show off the villages proud display of Best Kept Village certificates which are hung in the entrance way to the hall.
Mike Manson, CPRE advised that Rushall would have the opportunity to challenge for the Laurence Kitching ‘Winner of Winners’ award again next year. Rushall PC acknowledged the challenge.
